IntelliWrite® enhances system performance by automatically preventing split I/Os at the source, in the logical disk layer inside the Windows OS before being written to disk. It replaces hard-to-process random I/O, with sequential I/O, eliminating the I/O Blender effect.
IntelliMemory® utilizes intelligent caching algorithms to create a read-only cache, using only the idle, available free memory on the server.

THE CHALLENGES
The investment firm encountered two major performance hurdles:
- Oracle Database Slowness: Data warehouse jobs slowed significantly, delaying data processing and impacting business operations.
- Bloomberg Anywhere Access Issues: When users transitioned to remote work, they complained of experiencing frequent login failures via Horizon VMs. The critical Bloomberg Anywhere application, known for its high RAM usage – up to 32 GB per VM – threatened to exceed the capacity of the existing VMware ESXi Hosts, which would have required time-consuming and costly infrastructure upgrades.

THE SOLUTION
The customer deployed DymaxIO across all VMs on their four VMware ESXi hosts. DymaxIO is “set and forget” software that optimizes Windows I/O at the OS level with near-zero overhead. It:
- Prevents split I/Os via IntelliWrite®, converting random traffic into large, sequential writes.
- Uses IntelliMemory® to dynamically cache reads in idle DRAM, accelerating performance without the need for dedicated memory.
